A farmer is a person who earns his livelihood by farming. He leads very miserable life. He lives from hand to mouth. He cultivates his own or other's land. He is a hard worker. He gets up early in the morning. Then he goes to the field with tools, two bulls and plough. He works very hard to prepare the land for sowing crops. He comes at noon, eats his meal, takes rest and again goes to the field. His pleasure and pain depend on the mercy of nature. If he gets many crops, his joys know no bounds. On the other hand, if the crops are not good, his sorrows know no bounds too. Generally, he lives in a cottage or wooden house. Sometimes, he and his family members have to starve. His children are deprived of education and the members of his family are deprived of education and the members of his family are deprived of entertainment and medical facilities. Therefore, government should give subsidy in the agricultural sector so that they can lead a decent life.
