Composition on A Cricket Match I Witnessed

Introduction: cricket is an international game. It goes by the name of the royal game of the games. Today cricket is the most popular and interesting games all over the world. I am very fond of playing and witnessing cricket match.

Place and Occasion: last month I had an opportunity to enjoy an international one-day cricket match. It was played between the two eternal rivals Pakistan and India. The match was held at the Mirpur national cricket stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I was accompanied by my bosom friend, Kabir. We somehow managed two tickets and were eagerly waiting for the much-looked-for day to come.

Description: the much looked for the day came at last. We entered the stadium at 8 a.m. we were greatly amazed to see the overwhelming number of spectators. The two teams entered the stadium with majestic motions. We, the spectators, welcomed them with ear-deafening shoutings. The Pakistani team was led by Md. Wasim Akram and the Indian team was led by Shourav Ganguli. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Syed Anwar and Shahid Afridi were the opening bowlers. The two opening batsmen of Pakistan were battling fiercely against the fast bowlers of India. Syed Anwar scored a century. Eventually, Pakistan team came to an end with the big score of 326 runs.

Then the Indian team started batting. They seemed to be high spirited and tried to keep the match under their control. But their luck went disfavor after 25 over’s. They could not stand against the fast bowling of Wasim Akram, Shoaib Skter, Razzaq and Waqar Younus. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were the top scorers of the Indian team. They scored 70 and 75 runs respectively. The India team began to lose their wickets one after another. Then the match began to move towards the Pakistani team. At one stage, the Indian team scored 280 losing all the wickets. The Pakistani team won the match by 46 runs. Syed Anwar was decided the man of the match in consideration of his outstanding performances.

Conclusion: I was the supporter of Pakistan and felt overjoyed for the victory. It was the most exciting cricket match I have ever enjoyed. It the memory and pleasure of the match shall remain evergreen in my mind.

Digital Bangladesh

Digital Bangladesh means digitalizing Bangladesh by ensuring an ICT based society where online information will be readily available and where all possible activities of the government and other non-government or semi-government organizations will be performed using computer and internet. It was an election manifesto of Bangladesh Awami League, a leading political party of the country, to make Bangladesh into a digital country. Moreover, in the 9th National Parliamentary Election, Awami League declared vision 2021 with the aim to turn Bangladesh into a digital country by the next decade.

Bangladesh is an independent country. She achieved her freedom more than 49 years ago. But still she is burdened with many problems like poverty, corruption, food deficit, over population, unemployment, natural calamities, power crisis etc. These problems and obstacles stand in the way of developing a digital society. So, we have to work hard to remove all these problems and obstacles to establish technology based
e-governance, e-education,
e-commerce, e-production,
e-agriculture , etc. Top priority should be given to solve power crisis. Computer and internet network should also be developed throughout the country immediately.

The benefits of digital Bangladesh are many. It will ensure the overall development of the country and the nation. All types of corruption and crimes will be strongly checked. It will save people’s time and money and make people more enterprising. It will connect people with the whole world socially, culturally, economically, and even politically. It will allow people to think globally and communicate with the whole world. It will improve banking system and financial activities of the country. Money transfer and transaction of business would be made within seconds. The sectors of agriculture, health, education, commerce will also be highly benefitted through digital based society.

The benefits of digital based society cannot be described in words. But to materialize the dream of Digital Bangladesh is not an easy task. The journey towards a Digital Bangladesh needs necessarily the involvement of the innovative younger generation. If the national leaders of our country equitably and impartially guide this generation, they can really do wonder for the nation. Both the policy makers in the government and the people in general should work hand in hand to materialize the dream of digital Bangladesh.

SOIL POLLUTION

SOIL POLLUTION

Soil pollution occurs when the presence of toxic chemicals, pollutants in the soil is high enough to be of risk to plants, wildlife, humans and of course, the soil itself. Arable land is turning to desert and becoming non-arable at ever-increasing rates, due to global warming and agricultural fertilizers and pesticides, lessening the hope that we can feed our booming population. Within 40 years, there will be over 2 billion more people, which is the equivalent of adding another China and India. Food production will have to increase at least 40% and most of that will have to be grown on the fertile soils that cover just 11% of the global land surface. However, there is little new land that can be brought into production and existing land is being lost and degraded. The United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) states that annually, 75 billion tons of soil, the equivalent of nearly 10 million hectares, which is about 25 million acres, of arable land is lost to erosion, water-logging and salination and another 20 million hectares is abandoned because its soil quality has been degraded.
